How to Play - Labyrinth of Doom

The Story

You got on the wrong side of a powerful wizard and have been transported to a magical maze where you must fight to the death against a group of other unfortunates. Only one will get out alive!

Movement & Exploration

Navigate the maze with touch, keyboard & mouse, or a controller. Teleporters link distant parts of the dungeon. Every maze is procedurally generated — no two games are the same.

Your Character

Before you enter the maze you divide your points between three stats. Strength increases the damage you deal, and pays off most with heavy weapons. Agility improves your accuracy and your chances of avoiding a blow, and suits light and ranged weapons. Magic increases the damage your spells do. There is no wrong build — but the maze doesn't care what you chose, and you fight with what you find.

Combat & Loot

Arm yourself with whatever the dungeon provides — weapons, armor, potions, and scrolls. Better gear makes a real difference. Monsters wander the maze and are best avoided, though they can be killed if necessary. Legendary Artifacts are powerful enough to change the outcome of a game, and your opponents know it.

What You'll Find

Over 120 types of items can be scattered throughout the maze, in these families — and a few you'll have to discover for yourself. No two mazes are stocked alike.

Armor Increases your defense. Heavier plate protects more.
Light Weapons Quick strikes that favor high agility.
Medium Weapons Favor a mix of strength and agility.
Heavy Weapons Slow and punishing. Favor high strength.
Ranged Weapons Strike along your line of sight. Favor high agility, and need ammunition.
Amulets Worn protection — some ward off magic, others warn you what's coming.
Potions Heal you, buff a stat, or give protection for a short while.
Sigils Enchant a weapon or armor. One poisons a weapon.
Orbs Transform you temporarily into beast or shade.
Rods Teleport you, or send an opponent somewhere they didn't want to go.
Runes Change the maze itself — lay traps, raise walls, or tear them down.
Crystals Short-range magical attacks that befuddle an opponent or destroy what they're carrying.
Scepters Maze-wide effects. Sometimes random.
Vials Release a cloud of gas that helps or harms anyone caught inside it.
Map Widens your view of the maze for a short time.
Ladder Lets you climb to the top of a wall.
Scrolls Single-use spells that do magical damage to your opponent. Short range, minor Short range, major Long range, minor Long range, major
